Time: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Introduction

This intensive, full-day Body Cadaver Workshop, chaired by Dr. Victoria Karlinsky-Bellini and Dr. Angelo Cuzalina, provides immersive, hands-on experience in the latest techniques in body contouring surgery. Through a combination of focused didactic lectures and practical cadaver-based training, this course is designed to improve surgical precision, optimize aesthetic outcomes, and enhance patient safety.

Participants will receive expert instruction in a variety of core and advanced procedures, including power-assisted and ultrasound-assisted liposuction, autologous fat harvesting and transfer, gluteal augmentation (via BBL using fat as well as gluteal implants), formal butt lifting and abdominoplasty. The course will also review the integration of adjunct technologies, such as Renuvion, into modern aesthetic surgical workflows.

Special emphasis will be placed on anatomical landmarks, procedural planning, intraoperative safety, and risk mitigation strategies, including guidelines aligned with current fat grafting safety protocols. Whether refining current practice or expanding procedural offerings, this course provides a high-impact educational experience grounded in both evidence and real-world application.

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify critical anatomical landmarks and danger zones involved in body contouring.
  • Apply safe high-definition, ultrasound-, and power-assisted liposuction techniques.
  • Use current safety protocols to harvest, process, and inject autologous fat into the gluteal region.
  • Perform abdominoplasty procedures with attention to planning, incision design, and contour outcomes.
  • Perform formal buttock lifting procedures with attention to planning, incision design, and contour outcomes.
  • Perform gluteal implant procedures with attention to planning, incision design, and contour outcomes.
  • Evaluate the clinical application, benefits, and limitations of using radiofrequency energy and helium plasma to tighten the skin, ultrasonic tools, and fat grafting systems.
  • Apply patient selection criteria and risk mitigation strategies for gluteal augmentation.
  • Integrate emerging technologies into practice while considering regulatory and safety data.

Target Audience

This activity is designed for cosmetic surgeons, plastic surgeons, and other qualified physicians involved in aesthetic surgery who wish to advance their knowledge and technical skills in body contouring and fat transfer. The course is appropriate for both experienced practitioners and those incorporating these procedures into their practice and is especially relevant for clinicians seeking to integrate new technologies while maintaining the highest standards of safety and patient care.
